Anglophone Associate Leadership Teams Planning Meeting

On Sunday, Sept. 18, from 1:30 to 3:30, the leadership trios of the three Anglophone Associate Groups (In Her Footsteps, Marylrose and Richelieu Rose) met at the Congregational House to plan the year that is beginning. They began by sharing with one another some news of their own lives and of the members of their respective groups.

After listening to a reflective reading of the full text of the 2016 Chapter Acts by Deacons Richard Brisebois and Tony Pietroniro, they shared spontaneously how these Acts of Chapter touch them.  A common thread: These Acts are in tune with our world and our own reality of today!

They finalized dates and respective responsibilities for activities that involve the three groups, and shared information about dates and activities of their own groups.  Activities in common include a day-long retreat with Commitment Ceremony in October; in November, NGO representatives sharing experience of their visit to the UN in the springtime; caroling at Maison Jésus-Marie on December 3; St. Patrick’s Day Party on March 11.

Facilitated by Sister Lorna Cooney, Provincial Director of Associates, the meeting ended with the singing of “Everyday God,” a song that the group has adopted as a theme song for their journey together.

Left to right seated:
Reda MacDonald, Lulu Laxa, Brenda Brisebois, Patricia Pietroniro
Left to right standing: Deacon Richard Brisebois, Yolande Zielinski, Sister Lorna Cooney, Rosetta Staltari, Deacon Tony Pietroniro
Absent: Dorothy Guha

After the meeting, the committee who is planning and who will be leading the day of retreat at the Congregational House on Saturday, October 15, from 9:00 a. m. to 7:00 p.m. stayed to begin planning. They chose the following as the focus of the day: Mission and Ministrty in Light of Our SNJ M Charism.

They will soon be sending out an invitation to associates and interested sisters.

One person from each group forms the committee.
